Earrings made from stones and objects gleaned in Paris since 2020, silent witnesses to this city, its evolution, its collective struggles and its individual histories. They are all fragments of objects or human constructions, returned to the organic state of pebbles. The molten metal comes from carcasses burnt during riots against police violence and the stones fragments from the sidewalk that crumbled in the explosion. 24k gold-plated brass, nickel-free fittings from Bulgaria and Italy and silver-plated brass details from Paris workshop. Each fragment is chosen for its weight. Poetry is born from the apparent weight of the stone, yet it seems to float at the tip of the ear that wears it. Earrings may show signs of wear or deterioration, related to the essence of upcycling. These elements are not flaws, but a reflection of the history and process of this jewelry.
