Earrings made from stones and objects gleaned in Paris since 2020, silent witnesses to this city, its evolution, its collective struggles and its individual histories. They are all fragments of objects or human constructions, returned to the organic state of pebbles. The broken glass comes from a carcass burnt during the riots against police violence, and the fragments of tar from the street that crumbled in the explosion. The metal flowers and the cuff were molded in wax, then cast in brass and plated with silver in Paris. 24k gold-plated brass, nickel-free fittings from Bulgaria and Italy. Each fragment is chosen for its weight. Poetry is born from the apparent weight of the stone, yet it seems to float at the tip of the ear that wears it. Earrings may show signs of wear or deterioration, related to the essence of upcycling. These elements are not flaws, but a reflection of the history and process of this jewelry.
